Jonathan García

Jhonatan García is a Colombian professional dancer with 24 years of experience. His artistic journey began at age 10 as a salsa soloist and later expanded to ballet, contemporary dance, tango, and Caribbean rhythms. Since discovering tango in 2001, he has represented Colombia at festivals such as ValparaTango (Chile), Perú es Tango (Lima), and TangoDoBrazil (Brazil), as well as on tours across Mexico and the United States, offering workshops and performances. He has been part of renowned companies including AstroTango, Tango Embrujo, Tango Vivo, and ApuroTango. As assistant choreographer, he contributed to productions like Morfosis: The History of Tango and The Fifth Element. Twice a finalist at the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires, he has also performed aboard Regent Seven Seas and Oceania Cruises. Classes are taught in couple by Diana Díaz and Jhonatan García.

Professional Tango Dancer from Bogotá; current based in Buenos Aires as a dancer, teacher of Tango Milonguero and Tango de Pista style. Current organizator in different milongas in Buenos Aires. I developed my Tango teaching methods with "Encuentro Tango" in Bogotá since 2022, also in "Colombia Tango Festival" since 2018. I focused my teaching techniques on the needs of each person, applying Biomechanical and functional movements from different movement technics. I am focused to help every student to connect their dance with their body, their expression across their embrace with the partner, and find effective tools to perform and enjoy Tango. Formed with masters from Colombia and Argentina since 2012, now with certifications from "Centro de Estudios del Tango de Buenos Aires (CETBA)" - Argentina. Now based in Bogotá, she teaches Tango with warmth and precision, while actively organizing milongas and cultural events in collaboration with renowned Argentine and local maestros. Her classes offer a deep dive into the essence of Tango—its technique, emotion, and community.

With over 20 years dedicated to the art of Argentine tango, I’ve built my life around the connection between movement, music, and emotion. From the elegance of the tango to the rhythm of milonga and the flow of the Argentine waltz, dance has taken me across stages and cultures. Today, I share that same passion with those who wish to experience tango not just as a dance, but as a language of the soul.

Julian Cataño

Julián is a Colombian dancer who, since the age of eight, has found in tango a passion and a heritage that runs through his veins. His childhood was shaped by a family legacy that, generation after generation, has devoted its life to dance. With more than 19 years of experience, he travels the world proudly bringing Colombian tango to festivals, theaters, and stages, where his dance becomes a cultural bridge that connects emotions, identities, and generations. His talent has also shone at home, being a nine-time champion in Colombia (2008–2022), fifth place at the Tango World Championship in Buenos Aires (2017), and champion in Quito, Ecuador (2016). Currently, he teaches tango in several Asian countries, adapting his method to multicultural contexts and promoting this dance as an artistic and cultural bridge.

Miguel Ortega

For over three decades, tango has been my life. As a master, dancer, actor, and choreographer, I have 35+ years in teaching and 30 in dance. My foundation lies in a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts (Dance & Theatre), always integrating technique, emotion, and interpretation. My tango journey began in Medellín in 1991. Moving to Bogotá in 1998, I was privileged to teach at El Café de Buenos Aires and co-found the city's first milonguero space (2000–2008). In 2013, I launched the ANGELICAL DANCE project, creating the MILONGA ANGELICAL magical hub for dancers, musicians, and tango lovers, featuring shows and taxi dancers. Tango is my school and home, bridging art and emotion. I aim to share this energy and history with you at the festival, so we can continue celebrating life to the rhythm of the 2x4.

Hello, I am Santiago Zuluaga Ocampo, I am from Manizales, I have been in the world of tango for 6 years, learning, perfecting and embracing the tango technique, since the beginning my dance partner is my cousin, with whom a very nice learning and progress process has been consolidated in this beautiful world, I master English as a second language and Spanish as my native language.

I have 15 years of experience in the world of tango, a career that has allowed me to train as a comprehensive dancer and passionate about this art. Throughout this time, I have had the opportunity to perfect my technical and scenic skills, participating in various presentations, training processes that have enriched my artistic path and different skills in the country, having very satisfactory results. I have been in 3 high-level companies and I am currently part of the chetango international company.

Ana Sandoval

Professional dancer, instructor, and cultural manager with 13 years of experience in Tango. National Champion in Milonga Escenario and 2nd place in Tango de Escenario. She has performed the dance on national and international stages and is currently the Artistic Director of the Nuna Kallpa Foundation and a dancer with the Tango Vivo Company. -National Champion – Milonga Escenario (2017) -2nd place – Tango de Escenario (2017) -Semifinalist – World Tango Championship (2019, 2022) -Third Place – Milonga & Tango Escenario (Manizales, 2019) -2nd Place – Milonga Escenario (Manizales, 2020)
